Let’s face it, abortion is murder. If you cannot see this plain fact, you are blind. But whether or not you can see the truth does not change the truth. You choose to kill another human being because you choose what you want over what is right for another. Anti-life people are simply selfish.
Regarding the voting result, Nancy Northrup, President of the Center for Reproductive Rights states that voters “…have sent a loud and clear message: Women know what’s best for their lives, their health, and their futures.” Unfortunately, life is not all about what is best for ‘me’. Many times we are called to do what is best for others. This is the definition of ‘love’.
But anti-life people need abortion to stay. It fits an agenda. If the right to life is not recognized for the unborn, it need not be recognized for anyone. In other words, we can kill anyone who makes life uncomfortable for us. This thinking sounds great as long as we are the ones making the decisions over life and death. But sooner or later, we all inconvenience another.
If the life of another can be ended simply because it poses an inconvenience, would not all murder be acceptable? Could the thief not say, “I had to kill because another would not give me their possession”? Could the rapist not argue “I killed her because she would not allow me to control her”? I understand that my examples are extreme. But I believe that the taking of a baby’s life because it poses an inconvenience is just as extreme.
All life is sacred. Its value is not determined by how convenient it is.
