- I Corinthians 15:13, 14
The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the defining point of Christianity. If Christ is not raised, Christianity is a hoax and a lie. As the apostle Paul says, without the resurrection of Jesus Christ, Christians are to be pitied people (I Corinthians 15:19).
This brings me to ask whether those of us who say we are Christians really do believe that Jesus has been raised from the dead. Do we believe this Biblical truth? Within our inner heart, are we completely depending upon the fact of the resurrection?
By using the term “believe”, I mean a confident dependence upon the Son of God as bodily risen from the grave. Can you say at this very moment that you are relying upon a man named Jesus and His claim that He beat death for your eternal security? Is your savior a raised Savior? If not, you have the wrong Jesus.
