- John 10:28 (NKJV)
We now understand that the Christian’s position in Christ is justification. We also know that justification is a state in which one has come into harmony with the Law of God. This harmony comes only through the work of Jesus Christ. Jesus’ life as a man completely fulfills the Law of God and that fulfillment is offered to any human being who calls upon the Lord for salvation. So then literally when an individual is saved from sin, he or she receives the righteousness of Christ. Christ’s fulfillment of the Law is applied to that one’s life. The sinner becomes the saint. Saints are righteous through Jesus.
This position of the believer begins at the moment of conversion and continues for eternity. The believer in Jesus is forever justified. Furthermore, the justification applies to the Christian’s mind, body, and soul. But not all of these three components of the believer see justification at once.
