- Psalm 6:8 (NKJV)
For the one calling out to God in faith amidst great pain and sorrow, there is relief. God hears the broken hearted.
King David wrote this psalm. The psalm records a time of great distress for David. God’s anger is upon the king. David writes that his physical health is failing possibly to the point of death. Sleep escapes David and enemies plague him.
Can you relate to King David? Sometimes life falls apart. When deep trouble comes, we can feel as though all is lost; like we are going to die. It is at our worst moments that God hears us.
The Lord Jesus hears the weeping of the penitent. The Lord’s ears are attuned to the person crushed by sin and trouble. He delights in answering with great, tender mercy.
Call to the Lord in your deepest distress. He answers with forgiveness and pours out endless mercy.
