The point of the new requirement is to eliminate discrimination and provide a safe environment for transgender students. I do agree that the new measure will eliminate discrimination but I do not believe it will provide a safer environment for anyone.
To discriminate is to make a distinction. In the United States, we have a history of making a distinction between male and female. God does this too. Why the distinction? The distinction comes from the differences between male and female. Although male and female are equal in humanity, they are not physically equal. Boys and girls are physically different and that is a great thing. Each brings their God-given differences to the world and contributes wonderfully through those differences. Many in our society simply do not wish to acknowledge the differences in God’s creation. The result is that we lose the benefits of those differences.
Please do not misunderstand me. Discrimination used to define one human being as superior in humanity to another is wrong. Despite this truth, ridding our society of sensible discrimination is also wrong. Eliminating the differences between male and female to accommodate ungodly thinking is wrong. The result of such elimination is the denial and disregard of God’s creation work. Under this requirement, children are taught that gender is defined by the feelings and will of man rather than God.
This brings me to the utter fallacy that this requirement provides safety. Do the education powers that be in Massachusetts really believe that students will be safer when boys have access to girls’ locker rooms and girls have access to boys’ bathrooms? In their debased minds, I think they do believe this. This provision may make the transgender students feels safe but I seriously doubt if it makes those non-transgender students safe in thought or reality.
This whole thing must be identified as wrong and immoral. The modesty and safety of male and female students are worth preserving rather than the warped thoughts of transgender students.
