Christians need to understand is that God is not done with us. He saves us and in His glorious wisdom decides to leave us here in this sinful world. While here, we fall, we fail, and we sin. Sin is still present with us. It battles within us.
For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.

But sin cannot remove us from Christ. Why is this so? This is so because we are no longer under Law but under grace. Christ fulfills the Law and then applies that fulfillment to those who trust Him for salvation. Christ’s work covers us in His grace and His redemptive work will be fulfilled.
But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

Where do we go from here? We proceed by relaxing in the grace we have through Christ. We allow God’s word to transform our minds and submit to the word’s commands. We confess when we do not submit to God’s commands. We wait, anticipating our physical bodies to be fully redeemed.
